Mark Ingram uninjured in car accident

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Police say a car driven by Heisman trophy winner and former Alabama star running back Mark Ingram has collided with an 18-wheeler in Huntsville.

Huntsville police told WHNT that both airbags deployed in Ingram’s two-door Infinity. Police say neither Ingram nor his girlfriend, who was also in the car, was injured.

They say the driver of the truck wasn’t hurt either.

Witnesses say Ingram, a first-round draft choice of the New Orleans Saints, was picked up by friends. They say he jumped into a car and took off before his car was towed away.
